that rises at its heart--the "Royal Mountain." Visitors can take some time out and relax within the lush pastures of this park. Performances at the park present visitors with the opportunity to listen to ethnic music,
while picnicking among the trees. During the winter months the parks lake turns to ice and plenty of people come out with their skates. One of the sites that can observed in from the park, is the site where de Maisonneuve
erected his wooden cross in 1642. Present day, the cross is a 100-foot-high steel structure visible from all over the city.
